Grape Koolaid is great for removing rust and oxidation.

Just open the packette fill it w/ water ..

Mix contents and empty into a container.

Take your rusty screw's hardware or whatever and let soak in the KA for a couple hrs.

Take items out and them wipe down.

    Done.

also it is really gentle on chrome and nickel plating. and smells good too!

keep it off those white plastic parts though

wow, thats interesting!! it doesn't stain them at all?? Like, if you have a big peice, and stick part of it in , will it leave a noticeable line??

if you put a piece in 1/2 way it won't "stain" the metal just clean off (loosen) the rust .. its super gentle .. this is an old hot rodders trick .. used on CAD .. it super mellow but works wonderfully.

granted if your chrome is rusted .. it'll be bare metal after cleaning .. but this can eliminate scrubbing and sanding lil pieces.

I've got a few more I'll share in the near future

Make sure you use scotch brite pads not steel wool. I'll have to try this becasue Windex or anything containing ammonia will actually break down chrome plating.
