Does anyone have experience with a Marshall Bluesbreaker?

Are they capable of getting plexi tones? I'm looking at them, and a 1987x reissue. I think I want the 1987, but can't fully decide. Any opinions are welcome.

I've used JTM 45 Heads. They are pure, clean, LOUD Marshall Tube tone. Yes, similar to a " Plexi ". You can jump the front inputs on the Head. You can run an attenuator with them, for full, crankin' output tube Overdrive. You can run pedals with them. You can do anything with them that you can do with a " Plexi ", basically. Very similar sounding amps, for the most part. The "Bluesbreaker" is a combo, but it's still a JTM 45.

I like JTM 45's, and Bluesbreakers sound good, but the Reissue 50W 1987X has a tone I like more. I'm partial to EL-34's, I guess. I want to get another one, in the future, but I think I'm going to track down a new one with the true bypass FX loop. I love the Plexi tone, but hearing it with a great reverb makes it worth getting the version with the FX loop. Add a Holy Grail Pedal in the loop and a strat, and it sounds like Hendrix on tape. Of course, a Duncan loaded Paul is just unbeatable on the 1987.

I thought the Bluesbreakers were the 18 watt combos. Somewhat simular to the 45s but definately different sounding. I still get wood thinking about an 18 watt Marshall clone getting added to the collection.

Thanks guys. I'm still not positive which amp I want, but I'm still leaning toward the plexi. The one I'm looking at on ebay right now doesn't have an effects loop, but its only 500 as of now. The only one on there w/ the loop is 925 starting bid, but he's already lowered the price since I've been watchin it, so ya never know.
