  • new cab-queshtons`

i bought a used ampeg 4x10 (plus tweeter) bass cab yesterday.

the only problem is that my bass amp is an swr workingman's 15 that requires an extension cab of 8 ohms or greater, and the ampeg cab is 4 ohms.

queshton 1: what kind of risks am i looking at if i use the cab with the amp as si?

queshton 2: is it possible to rewire the cab so that it will be 8 or 16 ohms?

what ohms rating are each speaker rated at that may help.

              speakers are 4 ohms each.

this wiring looks pretty crazy (well...not necesarrily the wiring-it's obviously series/parallel), but it has a horn in it so the wiring all goes to telephone jack-type thing.

ok, i looked at it again and the wiring isn't that crazy after all. is there anyway to get this thing wired to 8 or 16 ohms?
