  • Gibson SG special faded

I am going to start shopping for a new guitar very quickly. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the SG faded guitars i have heard good and bad things about them. I am looking for any infomation available on these, ie intonation problems, quality and how to they stack up next to and SG Special. At 599 compaired to around 800 for the special they are a deal if they are any good at all. thanks

they are not bad. only problem is the fret suck ass, the worst fret job ive ever seen, and ive played 13 and tehy all have the same problem. so, after about 250 for a fret job, your in the special range....

Most definitely go for the Special. I own one and tried out both the Faded and Special SG's while shopping. There's just no comparison. If you only want to spend that amount of money, then go with a completely different guitar.
