I was wanting a good Floyd equipped guitar, and wanted one with a nice, timeless look like a Tom Anderson. I ended up
buying a G&L Invader with a natural satin flamed top, mahogany back, and bolt-on birdseye maple/rosewood. It even came
with Duncan JB and two hotrails. I changed the JB to a C-5 trem,
and replaced the middle pickup with an Am. Std. singlecoil.

As much as I love my Pauls, McCarties, and strats, the G&L
is really growing on me. Such a flawless neck and superb construction!

The only thing I'd suggest when buying a G&L is to feel the neck
first. They come in so many different profiles and finishes
that they aren't consistent like American Fenders. Some tend
to be too skinny, but you can find the thicker ones if you look.
It's interesting to note what upgrades Leo Fender did when starting G&L. The best was the bridges with more mass and better sustain. Also the pickups. You don't even need to change them, because they're usually Duncans or G&L's own pups, which sound great.

Yeah the necks are also split up, then they stuff in the trussrod, the line is hardly visible..awesome work.
Tried a commanche plus a model like the one posted a Legacy Deluxe, with the standart trem I could go haywire on it...it stayed dead on in tune, great nutwork, and very good sound in the steeltrem.
The one I tried did not have singlecoils but had the dualblades, and had a trembucker in the bridge.
The Legacy was right, the neck was very comfy and smooth.
Great acoustic tones, did not even bother plugging it in...no need it was a monstertone machine.
And it is handmade, and with that in mind it is not even very expensive.
21.000kr is very reasonable for a such instrument.
Defently recommendable for those seeking highend guitars.

I've got this one right now. A very sweet sounding '87 Skyhawk, unfortunately it isn't mine. It belongs to a friend of mine, maybe he will forget that he lent it to me.
