    I'd take the Mesa 5 band over any EQ pedal on the market. They should have done this ages ago.

    That must be the "lost in the mix" setting. Finally a tone that doesn't make me want to buy anything!

    $300 for the distortion pedal with the EQ.

    Yeah, he should have gotten a more generic sound, and then scooped it with the pedal only.

    Absolutely. All amps should have an EQ between the preamp and power amp, it's where you get the best shaping.
