These are hellaciously expensive but absolutely worth it. I may have to get one some day. Plus the light up treadle is just ****ing awesome.

Yeah the price is definitely high but when you consider what it actually is and what you're receiving it's definitely worth it =) It's far from a typical "wah pedal" lol.

Look how thick that steel is! These things must be built like tanks!

For $500 they better be. Though there are some builders selling $450+ wahs that put them in Dunlop shells.

The EMB Pedal Wah is nothing like a Dunlop either physically or circuit design. I am a big fan of Dunlops and still own several including two of their rackmount wahs (Steve vai's Dunlop 1S and a 1SR) but there's no comparison, especially with anything remotely high gain.

The biggest hurdle we face is people thinking "wah pedal" and translating that to an $80 Dunlop or Vox. Even the boutique guys are still using the same 40 year old design but hand tuning/tweaking components for their version of the ultimate oldschool wah. That's cool and if those work for you, excellent! The EMB Pedal Wah is a different beast and for those that have tried it and love it, nothing else will not only give them the tone they want but also give them a tone unlike anyone else's right now.

I agree, the EMB is a totally different beast than almost any other wah out there. If I had not just picked up a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe a few months ago I would be very interested in this. I really hope they keep making them because I can totally see myself picking one up maybe next year.

                who buys these things?

looks sturdy, but then again so does a morley.

About 40 people so far including a few you may (depending on your music tastes) see onstage this summer during a few different tours =)

I figured it'd be mostly touring pro musicians.

There have been a few in these 2 batches but the majority is your average player. Many people have been waiting for this wah since the 90s =)

ive returned to morley after trying a bunch of vintage and boutique inductor driven wahs.

I really like my Dimebag wah. There's a few clips of the EMB and the range and clarity is really good. If there exists a clip that will absolutely blow me away, I will get one.
