    Not a dig at China...lol.

    The Biyang Metal End King...

I guess it might be a take on the Amptweaker Tightmetal pedal? ...not really sure about that though.

Anyway...sounded great in clips and a local old-school death metal band recorded their (pretty excellent sounding) album with it...

First impressions: Insanely tight, thick, meaty/saturated & amp-like ..though I have'nt really had the time to do much with it yet.

This is the "King" version which is supposedly "made with better components" though I strongly suspect it just costs an extra $20

Either way it's built rock solid & is the exact same thing as the Akai Deluxe Distortion which is a re-labelled Metal End King..

Tightmetal. I remember the ten minutes when that was the ONLY metal pedal that worth owning according to everyone.

@Aceman : The Tightmetal is a pretty cool pedal though...definately one of the sickest metal pedals out there. Don't really know (or care lol) whether this Biyang is a clone...but it is extremely versatile & it does sound pretty awesome

I thought the Metal End was okay but it's definitely not a TightMetal. The Metal End is more Boss sounding, while the TightMetal has its own sound.

I'm on my third one. Every time I sell it, I end up wanting it again a week later. The last time I picked up a used one missing some knobs so I couldn't sell it that easily.

Yeah, the Metal End does sound pretty different from the Tightmetal. I messed around with one of those for a while a few months ago (the guy who mixed my band's recent split CD ...both guitar players in his band use Tightmetal's) and I remember thinking it was pretty awesome.

The Metal End is pretty cool as well though. I got a sweet 'early Entombed' sort of tone from it this morning.....lots of nice thrash/traditional/80's metal tones too. I might get the regular "Metal End" ('Pro'..not 'King') version as well..just to see what the difference is (if any..)

Wow, I just plugged it into my Bugera's clean channel & it sounds absolutely insane

I was impressed enough with it earlier but holy ****.. this is Wwwwaaayy meatier/juicier/crunchier/more organic & sweet than it did going into my SS Randall. Totally amp-like really...even the feel/response. It's just like having a bunch of other channels in the amp.... each switch position completely changes the character of the pedal too..the options are literally endless...

                      Unfortunately they retail for $149

I did come across a few on ebay for a bit less....but then add shipping costs etc & it's better to forgo the cool paintjob

very cool when the switches actually make an audible difference

What's wrong with nipples? We all appreciate a good nipple here. The biyang sure has a lot of features. If I was into drive pedals I would be very tempted indeed. How does it go straight into a power amp?

I don't really need (or even use) drive pedals that much...live, it's just me & my amp...but for some reason I can't stop buying them

Have'nt tried it with a power amp yet ..it does have a speaker sim that sounds pretty killer so I should'nt think it would be a bad thing.

@ Bloodrose: Yeah, huge difference actually.. it's like switching pedals...very cool

I do at least. Girl nipples, guy nipples I don't discriminate! I just might have to get one then considering they're under $70, can't lose and they look killer.
