Re: a fuzz pedal but which one?

i like all the fuzz tones and it's good to have some extreme sounds ( Jimmy Page to the dirty sound of Hendrix and other sounds)
i had a little big muff EHX: it was a catastrophic sound, so cold...
the sound was big, fat and was good to play like Billy Corgan from "the smashing pumpkins" : very 90's or 60's too but too cold for me

i have a Jacques: bat fuzz, it's really good but not warm, not alive

fuzz face Hendrix model, mini model :
i have bought it to a guy and it’s a very good pedal!!
    mini format but big sound!!

i have not a Marshall amp but the sound is good, warm, fuzz but not a hard fuzz, not a dirty fuzz like you could imagine with the videos that i put here
just medium gain but alive ! beautiful
and with a Marshall boost, i have another kind of sound!!

i am surprised with the sound of this pedal: it’s really beautiful to play some blues like Clapton does with his strat

my sound is a little bit different from the videos
    but it’s good

very good with a strat but my guitar has not noiseless pickups so, i have too much hum/noises
maybe i should change with a Clapton model or hsh deluxe or Charvel san dimas/so cal

you don’t need to play with channel 2 or channel 1 with gain
just a clean sound and the pedal+good pickups make the sound

The Fuzz FaceŽ Mini pedal line features legendary Fuzz Face tones in smaller, more pedalboard-friendly housings with several modern appointments: a bright status LED, an AC power jack and a convenient battery door. As with the original models, Fuzz Face Minis feature true bypass switching.

The FFM3 Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Mini Distortion has the same circuit as the JHF1 in smaller housing, delivering the thick, smooth Fuzz Face tone that Jimi Hendrix made famous in a pedalboard-friendly size."

      thats a cool thing.
keep the noisy pickups tho. the noiseless ones just don't have the same "life".

i think that this pedal will work especially with a strat and it depends on the amp

i have not the sound of Hendrix without a Marshall

the Catalinbread Dirtly Little Secret works beautifully for this purpose.

The DLS does the Marshall in a Box thing really well, and the Superbass setting on the newer mkiii version of the pedal was basically designed so that you can stack fuzz into it and sound convincingly killer without the need for a marshall stack.

Strat -> Fuzz of your choice -> DLS mkiii set to Superbass -> clean amp (fender-style preferably) = AWESOME.

I've tried a ton of fuzz pedals, and a good fuzz face used like this will get you Hendrix tones all day long. great ones, too.

the fuzz war seems to be the extreme fuzz
have you ever played with this pedal ?
