Re: Pickup Booster Knowledge & Experience

The resonance switches are set for the high impedance input of a passive pickup. If you have true bypass pedals in front of the Booster, and they're OFF, then technically the input is still seeing the high impedance signal from the pickups. A pitch shifter like a Boss or other digital pedals will usually have buffered bypass in my experience. The DI will probably convert the signal? Not sure what you'd be doing with the DI in front of the Booster, it would seem a DI would be better after the Booster.

the booster will work fine, but the res switches wont be quite as effective

It should still boost. But you may lose some of the ability that is has for making a single cool fatter like a humbucker. Trying it shouldn't hurt anything, so if you happen to have the items on hand you should give it a try and let us know. If you don't have them on hand, then I'm sure someone more knowledgable than myself will be along soon.

    Pickup Booster Knowledge & Experience

I what to know if it's 100% true that nothing can go before
the Pickup Booster? Can I use a Pitch Shifter or D I Box immediately
after the guitar and will the Pickup Booster still work?
Working...
