I do love that they are making ambient pedals these days. I used to have to take rack processors, spend hours tweaking them to make sounds they were never designed to make. Now we have single effect pedals that do this, so I am happy.Administrator of the SDUGF

I don't get anything out of those "full band mix" gear demos either. Defeats the purpose for me.Take it to the limit

Currently, I am using either a Line 6 M9 or M13, or an HX Effects for ambient sounds live. I use my Fractal FM3 for recordings, and it has amazing ambient delays and reverbs, plus lots of different ways to combine them.Administrator of the SDUGF

I have been combining their Nonlinear reverb with either tape or digital delay and some chorus on a single footswitch for instant ambient fun. Putting that after a synth or octave model (or just running the HOG into it) is like playing a different instrument. And it's so convenient. I feel a little uncertain of it because I've had it hiccup on me during startup in a couple live/jam situations, but it's always come through eventually.Administrator of the SDUGF

Put this little board together today. Pedal Train JR, 1 Spot Pro CS-7 Power. Xotic SP compressor and Noblels ODR-1 to the front of the Amp. Have a Xotic Super Clean booster / buffer to a Boss DD7 and then an Oceans 11 in the loop. Will use this one with my Zinky Velvet, PRS Sonsera 20 or my Mesa F 30 combo for small gigs. Will replace the Oceans 11 at some point with either a Strymon Blue Sky or something like it. Haven't got everything really cleaned up but will finish it tomorrow as have to play tomorrow night and plan to run the Zinky. Found the Pedal Train JR with the Power supply all cables and the soft case at a local Pawn Shop a couple of weeks ago for $75 OTD and just got time to throw this one together. The Board and power supply is exactly this same set up from Reverb and looks unused, There was no way I was leaving it at that shop for that price! https://reverb.com/item/43429734-ped...-supply-bundle1 PhotoLast edited by Ascension; 03-31-2025, 08:49 PM.Guitars

Revamped my board for tonight. I think it will stay like this for a while. Replaced the Oceans 11 and the DD7 with a Neunaber Wet Verb and my trusty old DD3 then added the Rocktron Deep Blue Chorus all from my acoustic board. Really likening this set up now. Will run it out tonight and see how it feels live before I really lock everything down and tidey it up.1 PhotoLast edited by Ascension; 04-01-2025, 11:02 AM.Guitars

I don't use a pedalboard live anymore with my cover band (Clickbait) and originals band (Texez Mudd). Amp footswitch out front and that's it. I'll have an overdrive by the amp plugged in and a tuner but since I use a wireless I don't need them out front. Short cable in to the amp. Sometimes the overdrive stays on and sometimes it doesn't. Depends on the room. I'll have to find a pic of my worship pedalboard.Last edited by ErikH; 04-02-2025, 12:55 PM.

Tuner and overdrive to the Simplifier input. Delay and reverb in the effects loop. Nano+ board. I could use this for anything really, not just the worship band but that’s its main purpose. We run a silent stage with IEMs.
