  • NPD: Joyo Vintage Overdrive

I was planning on getting a EHX East river, but guess what I got as an early Christmas present... something that I expect not to be too far behind.

Joyo vintage Overdrive with true bypass.

Overall makes my entire rig sound much nicer, as I was in dire need for a Tube screamer. It defiantly sounds like an 808 to me, and really sounds great for what my aunt paid for it.

It's actually not any more noisy than the modeling amp it's going into by itself. Very quiet until very late in the gain then it starts to get a bit noiser, but it could be the amp.

Overall I'm impressed with it. Good start to Christmas.

Joyo makes some good sounding, if not sturdy, stuff….enjoy!

Sounds Pretty close to my ears, definitely close enough for my tastes.

I'll probably pick up a real Tube Screamer like a TS9 or a maxon at some point.

The only thing which grinds my gears in this effect is the colour of the knobs. It looks totally wrong (but sounds pretty good)

            Need of CENTAUR ?
