hey guys ive been looking at some used dimebag distortion pedals and was wondering if anyone had any experiences with them. Im not really looking for dimes tone at all im looking for a pedal that i can use to get some 90s heavy metal tones with and some assorted 80s solid state sleaze tones. i have a all tube marshall dsl 100h so i can get some killer tube tones with that. but i figured for something to screw around with at home and play some solid state jams with why not. i did some research and found out that the LA guns used to use the same amp that dimebag used im pretty sure it was a randall so i thought since dime just used the amps and not that pedal i might get a really tight gainy blues tone like the guns.
My two questions are
Is this just a one trick pony, meaning will i only get dime tones and nothing else?
Have any of you used this pedal for something other than pantera?
