Depends which one. The throttle-box is just a thick grinding metal distortion pedal (obviously you can back the gain off), but most of the others are just forms of typical boost/overdrive preamps.
Throttle with EQ looks interesting for a clean or near clean channel.

I haven't tried it, but I know it's marketed as a Recto in a box.
Was gonna suggest this.. The AMT clips Ive heard have all been pretty good

I have one of these. its a brutal pedal that turns any amp into a dual recto with a mean low grind

I always got from the ads that they were supposed to add some Mesa flavor to any amp you had.

Those are great pedals, I had #50 for a long time. I don't think they really sounded all that Recto or Mark-ish though.

I would think the Palladium could do that sound, too. Keep in mind, there are so many different Mesa sounds. A Dual Rect sounds nothing like a Mark I or Heartbreaker or Blue Angel.

Mesa makes their own pedals now. Can't get closer to the source than that!

You could check the U.S. Metal pedal out from this line of stuff. http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/sa...terseries.html I've heard good things. Hope it helps.

    Mesa sounding Pedals?

Hey guys I wanted to ask if you know of any tight, high gain mesa rec/mark sorta pedals. Yes I know a second ago I was asking about marshall in a boxes but I'm just curious. Second question is Wampler triple wreck vs mesa throttle box. Anyone tried both and have an opinion? They are both rectifier sounding pedal but what do people think? Thanks guys
