Bought this pedal today off Craigslist. Have been wanting to try one of these for some time now. I may have finally found a pedal that will jell with my Beta Lead. Haven't even played through it yet, but definitely will be shortly through my OR15. I'm not sure of the year. Can anyone tell? Re-issue?

I prefer my Proco Solo, and a bunch of other things. Is this a good pedal? Absolutely. Had one on my board (real original) for like a Year. Used my amp distortion almost all the time. Marginally better and less flexible than my Mooer Black Secret.

Getting pretty cool tones through my OR. Even stacking with the Blues Driver for some cool stuff. So far, I can say.....Holy Sustain!!

I've determined that it's a re-issue, just not sure of the year. It does have the LM308.

The pot dates are '93. I need to pick up some contact cleaner today. The volume pot is a little scratchy.

I was hoping to try this out on Thursday through the Sunn, but we got a lead on a 12'+ reptile that we're hoping to get that night. So I'll play through it on Saturday.

I've had 2 Rats, one of the new ones stock and a newer one modded to the original LM308...both sounded awesome.

Personally, I like the ProCo Solo is better as it nails the Rat tone and can do so much more! That being said, awesome pedal and I hope you get a lot of great use out of it!
