Re: Wampler Dracarys vs MXR EVH 5150 Overdrive
I got my Dracarys 2 days ago. Its super cool, Sadly never touched the EVH so I cant talk about it. Have you tried a triple wreck? Side by side the Dracarys is much stiffer and less compressed with the highs being more metallic sounding. The Dracarys is easier to dial in than the triple wreck. It does better with 7 strings than the triple wreck does.
For what i wanted which was super high gain saturated chug at low volumes that would cut through during a low volume band setting the dracarys rocks. Doesnt hold a candle to my KR7 but didnt expect it to."It keeps you fit - the alcohol, nasty women, sweat on stage, bad food - it's all very good for you." -Bon Scott
"Let me put it this way: the 5150 will treat
you better than any girlfriend, because it screams louder, it's easier to pick up, and it shuts up when you take your plug out." -Rip Glitter
