Preamp Before or After Wah?

I can't decide on the placement of my preamp? My pedalboard is Tuner>Wah>Delay>Tremelo>Dirty Amp. I'm wanting it somewhere towards the front but am having trouble discerning if it is better before or after the wah. I also sometimes have a Rotovibe right after my wah when I want more colorful sounds. The preamp I have is the MXR Echoplex Preamp.

I like my wah before any other pedals. Let the preamp do what it do after the wah. And of course run delays and phase or anything like that in the fx loop

Wah and Phase (including univibe) always first for me.

Thanks for the replies. I'd like to run my delay in the fx loop but hate to mess with extra cables.

I don't use a preamp or boost, but my overdrive is after the wah wah.

I believe Jimi Hendrix did that too.

Try it both ways.

Sounds better after to me.
