  • Boss / JHS Collaboration - JB-2 Angry Driver

I haven't seen this posted here yet....

New collaboration between Boss and JHS. JB-2 is a Boss housing with both a modified Blues Driver and JHS Angry Charlie, allowing stacking, parallel path and various switching options.

    Oh no.....

    Oh Yeah!

There's a few dozen other combinations I would have rather seen but cool idea nevertheless. Really strange imho that out of all the boutique shops out there they went with JHS.

Boutique sound in a bulletproof enclosure. I dig it.

Now, if we could only get every other manufacturer out there to switch over to boss enclosures with top-mounted jacks

I am actually surprised Boss did this...they are kind of an isolationist pedal company in a way.

You have no idea how badly I want it. I really miss my modified Blues Driver and I have no doubt this pedal is gonna sound ****.

It's going to sound like before you modified it

I just saw the ad in a new guitar mag, surprised me too, Boss has never been known for working with other companies.

How many pedal companies do work with one another?

All the boutique guys are pretty tight knit. It seems they all hangout at NAMM, bounce ideas off of each other, etc.

JHS and Keeley have done the Steak and Eggs, Chase Bliss' Brothers is two designers Drive circuits and there are probably others I am forgetting. It's that range of Boss and JHS that is unique. (And JHS in and of itself) Although apparently Josh is a massive Boss fan and maybe the younger brand managers have keyed upper management in on the current boutique trends.
