    Does anybody know how Wah Wah Watson achieves this growling effect with the Wah Pedal around 0:26:

    It sounds like its broken up but doesnt quite sound like distortion or overdrive. And definitely hear some reverb on it but I am struggling to get the growl sound. Any help would be appreciated thank you!!

    Maybe a fuzz and it sounds like whammy bar fully depressed

    Actually, considering the time period, wasn't Moog and Roland rolling out the guitar synths then?
