Re: The Carbon Copy Deluxe Analog Delay

Same concept as the old seymour duncan deja vu delay?
Those were pretty good. Ive still got one in a box. I always wished it had a tone control for the repeats tho. Maybe a little too clean.
Also there is the way huge supa puss. Contol over everything in there. Good units too. Had one. Sold it.
Perhaps i just found that tap tempo wasnt for me. Cant explain why exactly. Everything just ended up sounding like the edge or something.
Carbon copies in their stock form are cool but they darken everything including the initial note. Good for some folks but not for me.
My fave analog delay is the boss waza one.
All the above pedals are cool tho. It is all about what works best for the individual.

I think it’s a great delay. I was surprised it was discontinued rather than updated. The digital / analog blend, the inserts, really awesome.

You could EQ the repeats through the insert.

I dug the Deja Vu too. I think it was 'updated' by splitting it in 2: the Vapor Trail for analog and the insert jack, and the Andromeda for the control and tap tempo.

Never thought of it that way.
