  • Pedal Hunting in Asian Countries

Has anybody tried scouting for gear, pedals in particular, in countries like Japan, South Korea and Taiwan? I have heard mixed opinions on the prices ranges of "standard" pedals like BOSS and MXR, and boutique pedals such as Earthquaker Devices and the likes. Also, which stores would you recommend? I'm looking to scout in one of these countries based on your opinions.

    Cheers!

Founded in 1938, Ishibashi Music Corporation is one of the busiest and most respected Musical Instrument retail chains in Japan. The company is highly regarded world wide as a reliable seller of top quality secondhand items too. We have over 17 stores around Japan including Tokyo, Yokohama, Chiba, Saitama, Nagoya, Osak

Thats a well known shop in Japan that heard of before. They usually have lot of variety in what they exhibit.

I thought most pedals were made in Asia to begin with.?

New or used? Japan is a gold mine for used Boss and Ibanez stuff. Also, even second hand stores have guitar stuff. New stuff is pretty much the same price everywhere.

I bought my CIJ Tele at Ishibashi.
