curious as to the order. do you stack the overdrives? id have thought the ktr would be at the front, or at least before the simble

The KTR sounds amazing overdriven by the Simble. Endless sustain. Reminds me of Peter Green’s sound on Supernatural...the tune on John Mayal’s Hard Road album.

But I just put this together last night.

I’ll be experimenting with the order.

Those aren’t my usual settings either.

I was rocking it pretty hard last night...just seeing what it could do.

The KTR has the option of being set for True Bypass or Buffered.

I have it set for buffered.

Should it be first or last in the chain of overdrive pedals?

I do like having the Simble in front of it.

The Route 808 is basically a Tubescreamer.

I don’t see myself stacking them too often.

My idea was simply to have my three favorite overdrive pedals all on one board and set them up for three different sounds.

Four if you include “clean”...which would be all of them, except for the delay, off.

you can leave the ktr where it is if thats where it sounds best for you. there are no rules about these things and every one says the buffer on the ktr and klons is great. is the 808 true bypass or buffered?

Cool. It does sound good where it is.

The 808 sounds great by itself. Doesn’t sound so great using it to overdrive the Simble or KTR, but I never planned on using it that way, so no biggie.

The killer sounds resulting from the Simble overdriving the KTR are just a happy accident. Never planned on doing that. It’s too loud doing that, but it is a great sound.

              Endless sustain is always fun.

IIRC the 808 has a well regarded buffer.

Kool! So I’m buffered at the beginning and the end.

May want to try switching the KTR buffer off. That's a short path, it's not like you need 2 buffers. See what you prefer. You can always switch it back on.

Very nice! I could easily gig with that.

Route 808 has a great buffer. Not sure how it measures up to the Klon, but the Visual Sound/TrueTone buffer is the same one they sell as a standalone buffer for people who chose to go all true bypass.

I've found it more than sufficient fir my rig.

Where do you place it in your chain of pedals?

I usually place it as one of the first ones. I like pushing my amp or other pedals with it.
