What I've read about the subject, many more learned seem to say the BIg Muff tone really just comes from the circuit design and component values.

Actually, there's not much doubt about that -but to my surprise these pedals go for 500-800.00 now.!!!! So I need to keep them ALL original -especially the jacks, knobs, and LED with the square hosing.
