Follow up on broken Walrus Pedal

Hey there,
You may remember me from a post about a broken Walrus pedal. I'm very sorry for abandoning the thread, school happened and I got snowed under by exams. I'm back now with a video of the setup and the issue so hopefully this can help you to determine the issue with my pedal. Thanks again

Other may have ideas but given that
1) it’s a very simple setup
2) you're using a 1 spot
3) what is happening is very basic functionality (not being able to turn it off)

I'm afraid you should reach out to Walrus and assume the pedal is faulty.

Is it new or used?

Seems like a faulty or disconnected switch.

From watching the video it looks or should I say sounds like the footswitch that is a soft-touch variety i.e. minus the solid 'clunk' when depressed. Which to me shouts some form of micro-controller and relay switching is going on. Probably a latching relay which depending on the code used will remember what state the pedal was left in when last used, either on or off. In this case on. The switch triggers the relay and could be the fault as if it is disconnected the status of the pedal with never change assuming the setup is that that I have described but it could something else in the bypass circuit.
