Helpful tips for MXR M77 Modified OD?

So i got a pretty good deal on a minty MXR M77 Custom Badass Modified OD.

I was hoping it would sound exactly like my MXR Classic Overdrive/GT-OD with the added bass control but it doesn't. Not quite, anyway. Less volume, for one thing.

So...anyone else rocking this little gold gem? What kind of settings you liking? I'm mainly planning to use it as a boost into my crunchy amp but it was cheap enough to keep around if I can find ANY good use for it.

I have a MXR D+ and a MXR MC402 Boost/Overdrive both are very different than what you are rocking

Those are fun to stack.... use them to drive another OD. -also good at getting early 80s hard rock/metal tone when paired with a Marshall style amp
