  • Catalinbread DLS mkIII vs RAH

    Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a medium gain overdrive to replace my Zvex Distortron (it didn't get along with my vox AC15) and I was thinking of going for either the CB DLS or the RAH. I could tweak my JHS @t but I'm looking for more of a vintage tone. Any thoughts on these pedals? Has anyone owned both?

i have a dls mkii and love it. it does the marshall thing well into the fender amps i use. the mkiii is different with its two modes but a buddy has one and its also great. the mkii kinda sounds in the middle of the two mkiii sounds. ive heard the rah and it sounded great but dont have much experience with it.

I have both. Love the DLS, it works with any amp I own, the RAH I found to be rather bland and uninspiring...

I did have an uh oh feeling about the RAH... I wanted something with more grit, so maybe the DLS is what I'm looking for. Thanks
