  • ENPD: Epic New Pedal Day (Drama/Suspense Presentation Style)

So, a lot of drama with family and work lately. And, as we all know (or at least LPB does), when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping!

Look! A package from UPS. I wonder what it could be???

Let's open it! Ooooh - can't tell yet. Packed nicely with peanuts, though.

Whoa!!!!!!! IS that? Why yes! It's an Empress Tremolo V2. But not just ANY V2 - it is a numbered 10th Anniversary Tremolo!!!! # 119 to be exact. Not to low a number, where they were just getting the assembly chops down, and not too high where they were just trying to get finished and go home. Just right, close to the middle - at peak quality!

I have always wanted to add an Empress Tremolo to the collection. Over time, I just couldn't go with the single LED or switches on the back. So it had to be a V2. And as much as the Orange is kinda a trademark of the Tremolo, that reverse Black scheme just caught my eye.

So behold - I have finally added an Empress to go alongside my Red Witch. I have been jonesing for one of these for years....

                I intend to!

This thing is freaking feature loaded to the gills:

                Standard Tremolo features include
                - Rate/Depth
                - Triangle/Square wave or Tube style
                - Level

                Cool stuff includes
                - Tap Tempo
                - Ratio Settings with Tap Tempo

                Really Cool stuff
                - 7 additional "rhythm" settings including 3/4 and 5/4 rhythms
                - 4 Presets

And, because that *might* not be enough....
                - External switching option for use with an Expression Pedal, Voltage control, Tap switches, and MIDI

I hate when peanuts are used for packing! The pedal looks awesome though.

Like it was going to be anything other than a tremolo!

As long as you like it. Tremolo has never been my thing. But I'm sure that you can make it work for something.

I just gave it a test drive through the loop in my H&K TM18, with my Lonestar Strat.

                        Wow...this thing does a lot.

I'm curious to hear what. You can plug that H&K into your scarlet right?

Why yes, yes I can! However, I can also mic up a cab real easy to - into the Scarlett. Working up my Born on a Bayou chops now...
