  • What's the name of that one pedal

It has 2 knobs, claims to correct the signal coming from your guitar, but it really just boosts treble and bass. It makes your guitar sound more hifi and people either love or hate it.

Yeah that's the one. Do people still hate that thing? I was thinking about it, because that's pretty much what my wife's eq settings on my car are relative to mine

Huh, maybe I'll have to give it another try then.

              Who cares what everyone thinks?

In the grand scheme of things, it is kinda a fancy eq. Don't even want to get into the phase adjust - delay thing real or not deal, or how they should be used. I use an Apex Acoustic Exciter on my Acoustic rig and love it.

Your mileage may vary. I don't know how the BBE works or the control deal. I do know and understand the Aphex. Get it, try it, and if you dig it use it. Eff what everyone else says.

It might be your tonal secret weapon, or techno turd. Try it and find out. Not expensive.

It's the Viagra of sound enhancement. Instant gratification without putting in the work. And it sounds best through a computer speaker or small amp with a speaker of 8' or less.

Everytime I've used a BBE, initially the harmonic bright stuff from the BBE sounds exciting, and then when you A/B the sound against your normal tone you realize that you are giving up just as much or more in tone for it, so I've never preferred them personally.

Had one for our PA system in the 80's and it really helped things sound hi-fi.

Some dudes used it on their guitar tone.

I have wanted to try one for a long time just out of curiosity but they just aren't cheap enough for me to take that plunge
