Please let us know how this does for you. I've been wanting one of the newer-style compact wireless systems, but every time I start reading reviews I get unsure of what brand to get.

I bought a cheapy one off Amazon to try it out and it worked really well but had too high a noise floor, it got a bit worse when the board was in play. I've got a busy summer schedule and I am so tired of tripping over cables so I figured I'd invest in something a little nicer. Store I work p/t at has a bunch of the Boss Wireless stuff and the store owner swears by these pedal units.

I still have my Nady from the late 80's and it works great but is a bit too much these days lol

Got a gig Friday so it's right in the fire, I'll let you know

I've used the Boss WL-20 for a few years. It is a great sounding, easy to charge wireless system. No doubt the -50 is just as good.

Definitely keep us posted. I read a lot of reviews of this stuff but word of mouth from someone you know using it is the best review. It'll take a lot to make me switch from my Line6 G50. I love that system.

I was thinking about getting one of those, but my 20's are great.

well I am totally sold, it worked great!

I set the resistance to "short cable" which seemed to be the best match for me sonically. It was quiet, no fuss and just worked perfectly.

I plugged it in for the first chsrge directly to a dedicated charger, I left it til the light changed indicating a full chage

Does it use a 9v negative centre adapter?

It uses a micro USB port to charge the transceiver on it's own or it charges when plugged into the base unit, that uses a regular BOSS style 9v adapter.

I still have my old school Nady from the late 80's, still works great too. I don't use it anymore but I have never had an issue with wireless really. I've been using cables because I use a board these days but back then that was the ticket. The Nady has a gain control that gave a little pop on the front end too.

There would be something to be said for getting this for my main board. Just leave it there, or use the other WL-20 Receiver when traveling light or as backup.

I share the stage with 2 other brands of wireless units and there were no issues, wasn't expecting any but figured I'd add that to the knowledge base. One is a Shure unit, can't remember what the other is.
