If I had to narrow it down to just 3 very basic pedals, I'm totally with Mincer on this one (assuming the amp has some drive on its own)... Compressor, OD, and Delay all the way!

I prefer putting my pedals in a pedalboard but a trash can may be a fine way to transport them.
