You are weighing the merits of having a mono phaser placed pre-tape echo, or stereo phaser post tape echo, and decide the only answer acceptable answer is one of each.

I'm really gassing hard for a KMA Astrospurt pre- echo, and a Mutron Biphase II post the stereo echo outs.

A phaser is really the only mod pedal I don’t have at the moment. I have several flangers and chorus pedals but no phaser. I’d like to get one but I’m crippled by option paralysis. Classic or modern? Simple or complicated? Too many choices lol!

A phaser is certainly my favorite mod effect, and generally, a simple 4 stage is all I need. My favorite phaser sounds were from Tommy Bolin in the mid 70s.

Yeah I don't think I want a classic phaser. I been listening to them but it's just not doing it for me. I think I want something a little more modern. I like the auto step filters on units like the Boss Phase Shifter or the Keeley Bubble Tron. That's the kind of thing I want.

The Bubble Tron is pretty cool from what I've seen of it. The phase is based on your pick attack in one of the modes
You will never understand How it feels to live your life With no meaning or control And with nowhere left to go You are amazed that they exist And they burn so bright
Whilst you can only wonder why

Add the Catalinbred Many Worlds to your list. I had one for quite a while, and it's a great phaser that can do classic phase tones and a whole lot more.

                  Maybe give Bredan a try.

The Brendan Phaser is a Phaser Pedal that is a unique combination of the MXR Phase 90 and Boss PH1R. Taking the best of both worlds and combining them with some secret sauce.

Ooh, I like the sound of this one. I been a fan of Catalinbread since I got the SFT and was looking for an excuse to get another pedal. This is definitely at the top of my list now. Thanks for the tip!

It really is an amazing phaser, and I say that having owned a 1:1 Lovetone Doppleganger clone that is my favorite phaser I ever played through at the same time. While the Doppleganger was my favorite, at half the price the Catalinbred was right up there with it in soundquality and unique albeit different types of phaser sounds.

It only has one knob. Speed drops way down around 11:00 but depth increases dramatically towards the last half of the range.
