  • Boss JH2 Angry Driver

So I picked this up for less than the price of an Angry Charlie alone. Much win!!!

I LOVE the Blues Driver - should have got one a long time ago.
I like the Angry Charlie for a MIAB sound.

But the switching options on this thing are awesome; BD, AC, BD>AC, AC>BD, AC or BD switching, AC/BD in Parallel. Just fantastic.

I've had one of those on my list of pedals to buy eventually for a while

I have been searching forever, but they generally cost the same new/used. When I saw this one I had to hit it.

Now I get why the high value even used. Amazeballs dirt pedal. Two Pedals and stacking both directions, plus parallel....just wow.

I love the BD. I even have the Keeley Phat Mod. Never tried the Angry Charlie though.

What is the AC based on anyways? If I have something similar, maybe I could try stacking it with the BD to see if it sounds good.

The BD setting makes a great clean-booster for my HM-2 (HM-2 set reasonably, not all maxed).
The AC makes a great mid-booster for a distorted amp too.

Then there are all the great intended uses of the pedal like the stacking and parallel.
I got one when they very first hit the used/demo market a few years back, I paid $150 shipped.

Yeah that AC by itself with an MXR 6-band after it can do about any MIAB tone.

This has always seemed like a really cool pedal but I haven't found one used for a decent price.

$150 used for two different drive pedals in a single enclosure with the different routing options doesn't seem like a bad deal. You'd pay more buying a Blues Driver and an Angry Charlie separately.

I'm assuming it's all surface mount in there? If they were easy to mod I would buy one right away.

Paid notably less that $150. Made the decision easy. Patience is a virtue, cheapness is a superpower.
