An entire thread about a wah and not one single mention of Kirk Hammett, or even Dime?
Not a single derailment?
Only the facts to help out and
something was actually fixed?
What's gotten into you guys?
Are you all getting lazy?

oh hey. I finally fixed this. It wasn't the retaining screw that holds the treadle on that needed tightening. It was the other two little screws that hold that kinda strap looking thing under the pedal that needed to be tightened up.
This statement either makes no sense or all the sense in the world depending on if you have looked at your wah lately.

the shell is pretty ancient which is I why I bought it. It was cheap and weathered and looks rad. It has all modern guts that are old school specs that I wired in myself. It sounds great. Just got some floppy noodle pedal.
I'm going to take the screw and wrap it in some tape or something and put it back in to try and tighten everything up.

how old is the acebob? maybe its time for something new.
if it sounds great, then id find a way to make it work. if it sounded mediocre then i might use this as an excuse to replace.

Optionally, how old is this Wah????
Perhaps an opportunity for something new.
If my Weeping Demon hadn't been "exorcized" I'd have never ended up with my Morley Liberty Wah. Love may Morley!

I had the same problem with my Morley. Removing the pedal from the body and adding some lock washers worked for me.

My wah is......limp
Don't get me wrong.....it sounds great. But I am using a super old wah shell and the pedal itself wants to just flop to full toe down position when my foot is not on it.
I tried moving forward the little plastic doo-dad on the bottom that holds the plastic teeth against the sweep pot and tightening it down but that hasn't worked. Any other ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!Tags: None
