The cleanest delay I've tried is the "Simple Delay" in my HX Effects. What goes in comes back out. The Boss digital delays are pretty clean too. I dunno about high end units.

That's a good one. The mod delay (legacy) is also great.

I had a Boss DD-2 that I sold to a buddy of mine. One of the best digital delays I've ever used in pedal format.

So, for the "settings on the fly" crowd - that whole bend-down-and-adjust thing is horse pucky. It's 2024

                      - Get a multi and use presets
                      - Get a Flashback/DL4 or something
                      - Get a cheap little Mooer/Mosky/Donner etc...

Bend over and adjust on the fly? Just no.

I need tap tempo at times doing all the modern worship I do. I like my Boss DD 7 a lot, simple quiet and the tap tempo is easy to use.

thats a great pedal, ive used one a few times and almost bought one twice, but already have a handful of delay pedals. based on the old dm2 i believe?

My call in 2024 - Everyone needs an "Everything" Delay

                              Boss DD7/8
                              TC Flashback II (fullsize)
                              EHX Canyon

They all have tape, analog, Digital, Reverse, and Modulated modes, Tap, and then whatever other wackiness you need (Reverse, Presets, reverb, and so on etc.)

maybe. i dont need a reverse delay. i am happy with a really nice analog delay that sounds amazing. i have digital delays that have simulations of all the things, but nothing sounds as good as a great analog delay to me
