  • Neck pickup in bridge

I have just won a bid for a seymour duncan SHR-1n on ebay.
I just then realised that it was for neck postition when i needed it for bridge. Would it be a bad idea to put it in the bridge or would it sound ok??
    Please reply soon
    Thanks
    James

    Re: Neck pickup in bridge

I don't think i would be a problem, expecially if you have standar single coils in the other positions. The Hot Rail will balance better in volume being a neck (less output) model.

Neck models in bridge positions can be thin and trebly. But the hot trails has plenty of bass (from the tone chart) so, again, I don't think it would be a problem.

And finally, experimentation it is allways worth!!!!!

      Thanks Mate!
I have got standard single coils in the middle and neck so it would balance out with a lower output version of the hot rails
      Thanks
