  • Adding covers ?

I'm interested in a few SD pups. I prefer the look of a covered pup, but the ones in which I've developed an interest are uncovered.

Stew-Mac, among others, sell pup covers. Is there a good reason not to cover an uncovered SD pup ? Any special consideratoins in covering ?
<----- another experiment in rewiring turns tragic.

Covering for me is purely cosmetic...I always felt Les Pauls,SGs,and 335s looked cool with covers...

Covers take a bit of your highs and presence away(Minimal though) and maybe a slight, slight loss of volume?

Having covers on though, is positive in that the covers act as an overall shield against noise and the covers help keep things from getting into your pickup's innards..
