I have an old Gibson PAF reissue with a braided shield in the neck of my SG. There's about 2 inches extra of braid, and whenever I move, the braid moves around as well. When the wire comes in contact with anything metal (pot/switch), I get a crackling noise. It's nothign serious, but it just annoys me that I can't stand up and play without having that damned crackle with every step I take.
So, does anyone have any idea how to avoid this problem?
