  • SH-5 or SH-11 in LP??

which of these two humbuckers, SH-5 or SH-11 would fit better for a vintage rock sound (like Thin Lizzy), not too much output but a bit more than
a 59, for bridge position? using a cranked up boogie dual rectifier on vintage dirty channel with marshall TV cab.

id say SH5.....will have that nice tight bottom end and hot rodded PAF type tone.....

but if you just want a louder meaner 59 sound......id say the Custom 5, Sh-14

id say of the three, the c5 has the most vintagey tone but they are all very nice sounding pups. the custom has the most aggressive, tightest tone. the c5 has a more open top end and bigger bottom with less mids, the cc has a nice smooth top with nice big warm mids. i think the c5 sounds really good into a rec, try different pup heights. i think it sounds best a little lower than i usually set more vintage lp pups
