Ebay score - whats it going to sound like?

hey guys, snagged this on ebay last night:

one problem though, i'm still deciding whether to swap it into my strat or not... what does the hotrails sound like clean in the neck? im not really a shredder, might try and swap it for a couple of SD single coils...

alternatively, would putting the neck hotrail in the bridge of another guitar effectively cool it down a bit? i know bridge pickups are overwound slightly to compensate for less string movement, but would moving it to the bridge change the tone drastically? might do something to change the volume leap between the hotrails and other pups...

Firstly congrads on the score.

My advice - put it in the axe and see how it goes.
You wont know wether it will sound good or not and what kind of changes need to be made until you hear it for yourself.

I rekon just put it in, but that hot rails neck will be pretty thick id say and not all that great clean. But all you can do is try...thats half the fun

keep your eyes peeled on the trading post lol - might go a-hunting for duckbuckers or something
