Re: EMG 81/F-Spacing???
It doesn't apply to EMG's, all 81's are the same and work fine with either bridge. Same goes for any passive with a blade, or large pole pieces like the Invader or Tom Andersons. The only difference between regular spaced and F-spaced (or Trembuckers as Duncan calls them) is the pole pieces that align under each string are a little wider on the bridge pickup to accommodate the wider string spread of a trem equipped guitar.

EMG 81/F-Spacing???
K. Here's the deal. I want a shrederific, slayer sound so i'm getting the DK1 Dinky with an EMG 81. However, I have read that if you're getting a guitar with a tremolo or floyd rose or whatever, F-spaced humbuckers are teh way to go. I noticed, there is NO f-spaced 81....would I be ok??? i dont want the alignment to be all messed up!!!
anybody know????? :******:Tags: None
