Particularly the lil' 59. I know that If you put the same pickup in two different guitars that they'll probably vary in tone (how much depends on how different the guitars are, I just said that because I didn't want to be told again and again that a 59b in a LP won't sound exactly like a lil'59 in a strat). But how does the Lil' 59 compare to the '59b/59TB tonally.

You would also be working with two different types of wood. There should be some tonal differences there, correct?

Even if you put a 59 an a Li'l 59 in the same strat in the same positions, they won't sound the same. The Li'l 59 sense less string area, thus having a more SC-like sound. The regular 'buckers usually sound fatter and have more low frequencies than the Li'l or Rails series because of this.Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.Comment
