Re: Do the lil'/jr. pups sound like the full sized HB
Even if you put a 59 an a Li'l 59 in the same strat in the same positions, they won't sound the same. The Li'l 59 sense less string area, thus having a more SC-like sound. The regular 'buckers usually sound fatter and have more low frequencies than the Li'l or Rails series because of this.

You would also be working with two different types of wood. There should be some tonal differences there, correct?

Not as fat sounding. the Li'l 59 still has some single coil flavor to it.

Do the lil'/jr. pups sound like the full sized HB
Particularly the lil' 59. I know that If you put the same pickup in two different guitars that they'll probably vary in tone (how much depends on how different the guitars are, I just said that because I didn't want to be told again and again that a 59b in a LP won't sound exactly like a lil'59 in a strat). But how does the Lil' 59 compare to the '59b/59TB tonally.Tags: None
