  • Split vs. Parallel For Single coil sized Humbuckers

I have a mahogany body Tele thinline. Currently I have a Little 59 for strat in the neck and a tapped hot tele bridge pup. I just got a Little 59 for tele to put in the bridge. My question is this. I have push pull pots and want to use them for either splitting the two humbuckers or running them in parallel. What will be the sound difference and the output difference between parallel and split wirings for the humbuckers. If I run them in parallel will I still get the humcancelling. Thanks.

the parallel will have more mids and a more focused tone than split while still being noise cancelling. dc k is higher for split but there isnt usually much difference in audible volume. for full size buckers i tend to prefer splitting, on the minis i tend to like parallel better.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a wiring schematic to wire both pups in parallel using a 3 way switch and two push pull pots. Thanks
