  • Is a '59 trembucker ok for LP?

    Hi,

I'm considering swapping a '59 TB that I have stored away into a Les Paul (bridge)

Is this ok? I am under the impression that TB is used to accomodate wider string spacing in floyd-rose guitars, but has anyone tried fitting TBs into LPs?

Even if incorrect, what are the ramifications of doing so anyway? i.e. is there a volume difference between the strings, or isn't there a difference?

    Thanks

it will work fine. youll have to use the proper mounting ring or modify the one thats one there cause the pup is a touch wider than a normal 59. as far as sound it should sound fine, the only issue will be string to string volume and it shouldnt be much of a problem at all. if there is a string that is louder or not as loud as the rest just lower or raise that pole piece till they balance
