  • 'Lil '59 Series/Parallel Coil Switching

I could not find the wiring schematic at the main S.D. site for switching the coils on a 'Lil '59 from series to parallel. I think everything else is there but not that one. Please help a lazy guy figure this out so I don't have to do it by trial and error. Thanks!

BTW, last week I asked for recommendations about a TB-6 for a mahogany body Strat. I took a different route and went with the 'Lil '59 and I'm well pleased. It works fine in this particular guitar. It, is, however, a neck model being used in the bridge position. It matches well with a SSL-2 in the neck and a SSL-1 in the middle.

Re: 'Lil '59 Series/Parallel Coil Switching

The diagram you're looking for is incorporated into several different drawings. Look for any diagram that ends with phrase: series-split-parallel.

However, just to make it easy, you basically just want this:

If you use a simple DPDT on-on, you'll have what you want: series/parallel.

    If you use a 3-way "Alco-style" switch, you'll get: series/split/parallel.

They both wire up the same way however.
