  • Wiring a P/P volume reducing switch

can i wire a push pull switch so that when it's turned on, it runs a resistor in series before the output to reduce the tone? If i were going to do this in a 500k pot guitar what kinda resistor should i use? 250k? or am i overlooking something?

250k in series will be a big drop in output and may severly eat your top end. I've never tried this but I think a 100 ohm resistor in series is closer to the proper value for that. A 100 ohm resistor is what SD advises to lower the Livewire pickups to a passive HB output.

Lets wait and see what the dudes with the pocket protectors say......
