I recently purchased a Yamaha RGX 121s electric guitar. you can see an image of it here

Should I take out the ceramic factory pickups and install a Seymour Duncan Alnico pro II tele pickup and Alnico pro II humbuckers ?
    Why?

    Yes, you'll start playing better.

Seriously though, looks like a real nice axe. I imagine a set of Alnico Pro II's would sound real sweet in that thing. (Along with many others.)

Oh . . . and welcome to the forum.

well it depends what sound you want.

i'm imagining the Ceramic buckers are at least semi hot, and judging by the look of the guitar you are a more "modern" style player

however this is an assumption, and if you tell us what styles you play it'd help out

the ceramics would be harsher sounding, but most likely higher output..

i'd imagine that an A2 single would sound better than the Ceramic single (i dont like ceramic singles)
