  • What pickups should i get?

I just bought an Ibanez Artcore AM-77 semi hollow body and I want to get new pickups. What do you guys suggest for a maple semi-hollow body that has humbuckers?

What kind of sound do you want and what amp will you be using?
    Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby.

The AM77 is a gorgeous Ibby. I bet that a set of 59's or a set of Alnico II Pro's would sound killer in that.
      (For a jazzy, bluesy tone.)

+1... or even a set of the Jazz pickups.

I'm going for a classic Gibson sound. I play mostly punk rock (old school stuff like N.Y. Dolls, Johnny Thunders, Stooges, MC5, Ramones, etc.). My "amp" is a POD 2.0 w/ver 2.3 firmware. I mostly use the Brit Hi-Gain and Rectified settings.

seths nail the clasic gibson sound. 59's would be a less expensive option, not as warm but still nice gibson style tone

I loved the Seth's in my Epi Sheraton. They give you a very nice, old school humbucker sound.
