  • EMG-HZ's ..?

    Are thease pickups anygood? {the models that come in the Jackson DXMG] How do they sound compared to a JB?

    well to be very honest...the HZs are junk IMO. the some of the older jackson stock pups sound even better than these. Get a JB and get rid of thise HZs. u'll feel a lot better and so will your guitar.

      I agree. Stay away from the HZ's. The 81 and 85 are very nice but you may not want actives.

          HZ's are EMG's version of Duncan Designed, but they are still made in the EMG factory in Santa Rosa CA. They're just made cheaper. IMO the Duncan Designed 103B (Distortion) is better than any HZ.
