ultimatum79 said:yea i figured it would be too hard to get gilberts.....so the aph1 sounds like what i could use since they are clear enough for satch and of course its what slash uses....but how well will it go together with my 59 neck?
ultimatum79 said:thanks guys....from ur clips jeff it sounds like the aph-1 is what im looking for. ..as for the exchange policy it takes quite a few days just for a pickup to arrive here so its hard to atcually use it. also jeff what gear and settings did u use in the clips for the aph-1??
Jeff_H said:That clip was done using my Dean Hardtail thru a Boss GT-6 effects processer. I used different models for the clean and gain. The clean sounds are Fender Twin Reverb models. I can't remember all of the gain models, but the last 3 are Marshall 1959 SLP and Soldao SLO 100 respectively.
If you go back to my soundclips, the one labled APH Matched Set Demo was recoreded thru my JCM 800, miked with a SM57 straight into the soundcard. This was done with my Hardtail also. The first portion goes from the neck to middle to bridge on the clean channel, playing the same clip. The 2nd portion of the clip is actually a Vai riff that I started learning a few months ago, and then lost track of it.
